How do we handle product synchronization?

Many of our apps use Shopify data, be it inventory levels for the Stock Scarcity app or even variants, collections, etc., for apps like Related Products, Product Reviews, and so on.

Here's how we synchronize your information with Shopify:

  • products created from Shopify's admin - in real-time
  • products created in bulk (via CSV import or Oberlo or similar app) - every 24 hours (Shopify doesn't send us notifications for products created in bulk, so we cannot sync this in real-time)
  • products updated in bulk - every 24 hours (Shopify doesn't send us notifications for products created in bulk, so we cannot sync this in real-time)
  • products updated individually - in real-time for stores with less than 5,000 products, otherwise every 24 hours
  • collections created - in real-time
  • products added to / removed from smart collections as a result of a smart rule update - in real-time
  • products added to custom collections - every 4 hours (Shopify doesn't send us notifications when products are added to collections, so we cannot sync this in real-time)
  • products removed from custom collections - please contact our support team to re-sync your products and collections (Shopify doesn't send us notifications when products are removed from collections, so we aren't able to process these at regular intervals)

If your store has over 1,000 smart collections, you will need to contact us to activate smart collection synchronization.

Please note that "real-time" might not always mean "instant." Depending on the number of notifications being sent out by Shopify and received by our servers, it might take a few minutes or more for the updates to occur.
